Strength and Toughness of Hot-Rolled TA15 Aviation Titanium Alloy after Heat Treatment

To investigate the impact of various heat treatments on strength and toughness TA15 aviation titanium alloys, five different treatment methods were employed in temperature range 810–995 °C. The microstructure alloy was examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) X-ray diffraction (XRD), its mechanical properties analyzed through tensile, hardness, impact, bending tests. findings indicate that increasing annealing results an increase phase boundary secondary α phase, while volume fraction primary decreases, leading to rise hardness decrease elongation. tensile heat-treated samples at 810 °C notably improved, displaying high ductility this temperature. Heat (810 °C/2 h/WQ) produced highest (ultimate strength, yield elongation 987 MPa, 886 17.78%, respectively). Higher temperatures found enhance but properties, toughness. triple °C/1 h/AC + h/AC) resulted 601.3 MPa. These demonstrate have substantial forged alloys.
